Born and raised in San Bernardino, Dr. Blacharski attended Syracuse University where he earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering/Biosystems and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his M.D. degree at Loma Linda University. His internship was served at the Naval hospital in San Diego where he also completed a residency in ophthalmology.
While serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Blacharski furthered his training as an ophthalmologist with several fellowships at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins, an ocular oncology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Blacharski has been in medical practice in the Inland Empire sine 1988, where he has specialized in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. He established his private practice in 1998. Under Dr. Blacharski's guidance, Inland Valley Retina Medical Associates, Inc. offers cutting edge technology in the treatment of Macular Degeneration, Retinal Detachments, Diabetic Retinopathy, and other diseases of the retina.
His clinics offer Best Practice diagnostic equipment and methods, and he provides the most current treatment in Laser Technology as well as the latest and safest techniques for Intravitreal Injections. His surgical skills are well-established with more than 13,000 procedures.
